Red Eye In 8 Month Old Baby Scratched Area - Baby's Eye?

Scratched area - baby's eye? - red eye in 8 month old baby

I asked in this forum baby, but not much .... My 8 months, rubbed his eyes and now has a red circle on very little. There will be a little easier and not the cornea in the area. They do not even know she was apparently not painful or itchy ... no eye tearing or discomfort to be. How long does it take off and you should call your pediatrician? Is that something that wait until tomorrow, while it is business hours?

What sounds like a subconjunctival hemorrhage in Laymans is a black eye. One of the vessels of the conjunctiva, the white of the eye is broken and bleeding.
This can occur for various reasons (vomiting, coughing, lifting heavy objects ... and yes, rubbing his eyes).

As a hematoma, which a few days to go, and always should be brighter and brighter. It is quite asymoptomatic and the child should not be embarrassed ..

Certainly not to panic. If you find that it often could be useful, they would get from someone. Firstly, to make the I wouln't worry too much. Hope this helps

wait. My 8 months old RAF did the same 3 days, now it is quite normal. If he signs of deterioration, or if you have linked pain, see your optometrist or ophthalmologist children. Your pediatrician is probably not the best choice .....
